St Stephen’s has hosted fringe productions for over a decade, with leading arts organisations such as the Traverse, Arches and Northern Stage working within its walls. Visible for miles and an icon within the local community, Momentum Venues doesn't just provide excellent theatre, but a truly memorable location for audience members.
The Artistic and Managerial team behind St Stephen’s have produced over 20 productions at the Edinburgh Fringe, and know the challenges and joys of mounting a production as part of the largest arts festival in the world, from first hand experience. We are here to help and advise and truly invest in the shows that we present, from one man shows to large commercial ventures.
We don't believe in compromising production standards at the fringe - performers are provided with decent storage space, appropriate technical rehearsal slots and decent turn around times. Our team are here to assist you any way we can and our spaces are designed to cater to all genres, from circus to stand up.
Aside from the beautiful performances spaces, location close to central Edinburgh and state of the art technical equipment – you will be supported by a marketing and press team who really know how to help you get the most from your experience performing at the Fringe and are here to assist you with a future life for your show, should you want it.
In Edinburgh, visibility is everything, and without the right approach it is easy for even the highest quality shows to get lost in the waves of events and performances hitting the Scottish capital throughout August.
Our in-house marketing and press team are here to help companies make the most of the promotional opportunities out there, and will carefully compose an individually tailored Marketing Plan with each company in the run up to the Edinburgh Festival.
Our team will be constantly scouting the capital for opportunities to help promote our performers. Companies are welcome to drop-in to the Marketing and Press office at any time for advice or support.
We will also be offering a premium package to our visiting companies, working with trusted partners to maximise awareness of your show. Our team will dedicate their resources to ensuring that no marketing opportunity goes unmissed, giving you a little more free time to enjoy the festival. The package will also include the design and print for fliers and posters.
Our marketing team will also be at hand to advise you on the best format for your print marketing. This will include the optimum paper weight and size to use for distribution. They will also provide all companies with relevant logos and Edinburgh Fringe information to be included on all marketing.
Every production that performs with us will be invited to be a part of our venue launch showcase in the first week of the Festival.
The showcase can attract press and media from all over the world, and offers our presenters the opportunity to showcase a snippet of their show to encourage previews, features and reviewers to book in to cover the show.
We want St Stephen’s to be a hub of creativity and a destination for top quality arts in Edinburgh over the Festival.
Aside from our regular programme, we will be programming one off events, including quizzes, spoken word recitals, music nights and concerts in our Stage Door Café/Bar throughout the festival.
